Women in the Progressive Era
During the Progressive Era, women's suffrage became a priority for many people. Women's rights activists lead many marches to create support for a constitutional amendment that would allow women to vote. Women like Susan B. Anthony Elizabeth, Cady Stanton, and Carrie Chapman Catt helped to lead the women's rights movement. These marches and protests led to the nineteenth amendment that allowed women to vote.

Chinese immigrants in the Progressive Era
The progressive Era was a time of political and social reform in the United states. In the Progressive Era, immigration grew steadily. One of the most prominent immigrants in the 1850s were Chinese immigrants, who were there just in time for the progressive Era which was about to start in the late 1890s. In the progressive Era, employers saw Chinese immigrants as valuable workers because of their hospitable, quick learning, and adherent tendencies. But, just because they were seen as valuable doesn’t mean they were treated fairly or with respect. Chinese Immigrants were often stereotyped, and suffered physical and verbal abuse because people saw them as different from them. Although the progressive Era was a time of great change in the United States, large scale immigration created lots of social tension and division.
