Jim Crow era

Jim Crow Era (To Kill A Mockingbird)

The achievements and voices of African Americans were often overshadowed and overlooked during the Jim Crow Period. Many African Americans were dismissed during Jim Crow in the job market, social life, and in their legal treatment. Many accomplishments and ideas from African-Americans have been lost and overlooked as a result of the Jim Crow period, but many texts and sources still remain showing the importance of marginalized groups during this highly race focused era of US History.
